I have gotten a lot of people close to me hooked on Vera, and they in turn have gotten others hooked. It's a never ending cycle!

My fact is I couldn't stand Vera anything when I first started seeing it. I was a Coach girl thru and thru. My good friend always had a Vera bag with her- must have rubbed off on me somewhere along the way! I started with a tote bag and some travel pieces and it grew from there. I got my mom hooked and we both went to the sale in April- I am definitley borderline obsessed now after the sale and after discovering the sales boards!!

My first piece of Vera I won in a drawing from a career fair of some sort Freshman year of college in 2005. It was a bitty betsy in villa red? I believe. I never carried it (because it is way too small) but I went into the shop that I won it from to see what else they had and started to like it. I didn't get anything until Mod Floral Pink came out because I didn't LOVE any of the patterns until then and HAD to get something in it. Since the beginning of May I have started to collect Cupcakes Pink and now have as many pieces in that pattern after 2 months as I do in Mod Floral Pink after almost 2 years of collecting that. I was obsessed and then it died down after my first bag got too worn to carry, and my obsession came back with full force after the outlet sale and after discovering the boards!

My first bag was a Petal Pink Betsy!

Another one... sometimes I feel like a vera snob... like right now I'm looking on ebay and everytime I see a bag mislabeled I think to myself that they obviously don't know what they're talking about... like someone has a mod floral PINK item labeled as a retired pattern!! :-p

I so do that too! Except I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut when someone who is carrying a fake VB comes up to me and says something along the lines of "we both have a Vera" or "we have the same purses" or "can I get your style in my print". It totally irks me that people "can't tell the difference" in fakes and real VB. I'm very quick to point out that mine is the real one and they are mistaken to think their fake is real. I try not to be too harsh, but it's really hard.

My first piece of Vera was a gift from my former VB sales rep - we started carrying Vera in 2001 and Ming had come out in the fall. I mentioned to her that I was considering getting something in Ming, and she went out to her car and found a Ditty bag and gave it to me!

Fact: I used to not like VB, never gave it a second look but that changed about a year and a half ago when I wanted something different but, didn't have tons of money to buy another LV. I'm glad I gave Vera a chance. She gives us so many different pattern and style choices that there's something for everyone. My first piece was a JB Betsy and will never part with it.

I was hooked on Pinwheel Pinkwhen it first came out. I love pink and green together and liked it a lot better than Petal Pink. My room decor was pink and green and I loved the fact that not only did my bags/purses/accessories match everything else I had, I got another pair of pink and green pajamas! I still like the color, but don't want anything else in it - I'm majorly hooked on Carnaby, Pirouette, and Bali Gold.

My Vera Fact: When I buy bags, I must have at least one matching accessory to carry with the bag or I won't carry it.
My first bag was a Classic Black (circa 2002) Tote....since then I have collected over 50 pieces.

My fact: I didn't personally know anyone who had Vera when I started collecting in Dec. 2007. I kept going back to my local Silver Store to look at them and finally made my first purchase (JB On the Go) with money my bosses gave me for Christmas.
I remember wondering if the pattern was too busy or too loud and it was the only one I liked at the time.
Funny how times change because I now have 19 different bags + 27 accessories!

Next fact: I bought my first VB in a lot on craigslist... It was 3 old, old villagers and totes in 1st Classic Black, Animal Kingdom and a pattern I still, to this day, can't recognize. (It's been 2 or 3 years now! ) 2 of them are still in good condition!

My first fact: The first bag I ever got was a Picadilly Plum Miller from a local Hallmark store that was going out of business. I didn't even know what Vera Bradley was - just thought the bag would be nice for college. To this day, I still love that bag!

I have two facts all from today ;D
1. I felt like a total vera freak today when I wore my newly bought pinwheel pink belt and carried my Pinwheel Pink Mini Hipster. With a Light Green Tshirt with my white with pink accented tennis shoes, Pink Hair Tie and light green socks to Kennywood today. I was Pinwheel Pink from head to toe!
2. While At kennywood I counted 98 vera purses/backpacks ect that ladies and girls were carrying!
