On the facebook sales board, I bought an item on Feb. 9. I hadn't received or heard anything and on Feb. 17 I messaged the seller about it and she hadn't sent it out because some things had came up and said she would mail it the next day. It's now the 22nd and I still haven't received it or heard anything. Should I message her again yet? I don't know what protocol is to inquiring since I've never had this happen before. She's only in IN, so it shouldn't take too long to get to PA. And thanks to the personal paypal, there's nothing I could do about it if I were to not receive it. I paid personal because I've seen this seller on that board a lot and never heard anything negative. I understand that things come up and life throws curve balls - I'm fine if there are obstacles to shipping, etc., but only if I'm kept in the loop. Thanks for any insight girls!

Well, just speaking for myself personally, I would try to get in touch with her again because I make it a priority to get things out when I sell them. That is how you become a trusted seller but if I can NOT get to the PO within 2 or 3 days, I will send a message and let the buyer know so they are kept in the loop as you said.

Thanks, Melissa. That's what I was thinking, too. I always try to let the person know if I have a delay in shipping. I'll probably wait until my mail comes tomorrow before I message her again, just in case. Waiting this long for an item makes me less inclined to buy!

I agree-try to get in touch with her again. Explain that it's okay if she is having trouble shipping it but that you like to be kept in the loop so you aren't sitting there waiting for weeks for an item to come that hasn't been shipped yet. Ask her if she is still having problems and if you think she is never going to send it, maybe just offer to cancel the transaction and ask for a refund.

It did finally come - took way longer than it should have. I guess that'll probably be the last time I use personal paypal unless it's with someone that I have previously dealt with.
