I stumbled on this board and joined a few months ago.
My name is Diane and I am a microbiology and anatomy & physiology professor at a university. Most of my students are nursing and paramedic majors.
I am married and have a step-daughter. She is the reason for my liking Vera Bradley. I get my Vera fix from my local retailer. I prefer to support my local retailers.
My favorites patterns are bali blue, bali gold, java blue, blue rhapsody and poppy fields.
I don't post a lot, but like to read about what interests others. This seems like a friendly board for the most part. I am still getting used to how it works.
Thank you for having me. I hope to get to know everyone!

Thanks Jamie - It's slow going. I don't get to log on much and I have been denied access to pics that others can see because I don't trade Vera on the internet. That didn't make me feel too welcome. Other than that, I like reading everyone's posts.

Diane - Don't worry Being a BST member of this board isn't only for buying and selling, We have some discussions in the for sale area on ideas of handmade crafts made with Vera Materials and even a section to rate your vera retailers and leave ratings for feedback on retailers that we have had experiences with. Where down south are you a professor at? Even though I'm from up North in the Hills of PA, I have a few friends from high school that are studying in grad schools or are working on their Undergrads down south. One of my friends is going into MicroBiology and my best Friend is studying Forensic Pathology and Death Investigation at Emory. She wanted me to go with her for my masters in Forensic Accounting, but I couldnt be that far from home on my own!
