So, like most women, I have things that annoy me like touching my belly and telling me how big I am, but tonight takes the cake! I walked into a restaurant 36.5 weeks pregnant with twins (I am delivering tomorrow!!!) and a long time family friend is there. She asks my mother, "Is that a hippo behind you?" OMG! Can you believe someone would EVER say that to another person? What is the worst thing anyone has ever said to you while you were pregnant?

OMG!!! That's so rude!
I never had anyone say anything while I was pregnant other than the usual "You're Huge!" To which I would say "Thanks, there are 2 in there!"
I did, however, have a lady ask me once while I was shopping with the boys "Did you pay for your twins?" I gave her this look like "Are you serious?" So she explained herself... "Well they are fertility babies, right?" My response as I walked away, "Umm, NO!!! All natural. Thank you." I can't believe the things that come out of people's mouths and it just keeps on coming and getting more and more ignorant. My favorite, "Are they twins?" "Are they both yours?" DUH!!!
Congrats on the babies!!! Best wishes for a smooth and healthy delivery! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!!!

this really wasn't rude but I thought the woman was stupid bc I was holding my 3 week old son and she goes to me how far along are you? I wanted to say don't you see me holding a new born so I must not be pregnant but hey I was nice and said oh no I'm not pregnant I just had my little boy in the nicest tone I could without flipping out on her !

I'm sure rude things were said to me since I was 16 and pregnant and unfortunately probably more to my mom than me =( poor thing - but I can tell you a funny thing said to me. I was on my way to summer school and at this point was 6-7 months along but from the back you could never tell I was pregnant. I was wearing a romper type of thing and this guy is behind me commenting on my butt, LOL - and when I turned around the guy was like oh crap - you should wear a warning sign or something cause you don't look pregnant from behind! I laughed =) Being that young and my situation - it sort of flattering to me, in a strange way =/

I don't remember anyone saying anything rude to me during either of my two pregnancies. When I was pregnant with my son though, I was working with this girl who had a son that was terribly rowdy. He was about 7 or 8 and I was about 4 weeks from having my son Jordon............this kid walked right up to me and kicked me in the stomach. Get this.... His mama just said.........awwww, that isn't nice. Don't do that. And that was it. I was furious but my son was fine. Just crazy................

The worst thing said to me while pregnant was from my son who was five atthe time I was carring my youngest said to me in the grocery store and not quietly "so mom just how are they going to get that baby out of your belly?" The store was full. I heard a lot of snickers and even had one 'gentleman' turn and shop along behind us! I keep trying to tell him I's explain in the car, but he just kept on asking I have never been so glad to leave anywhere! It wasn't unkind like some of yours but very embarassing! I too have been asked when my baby was due when I wasn't. embarassing too

I've never been pregnant, but I've heard horror stories about random strangers asking my friends if they could touch their bellies. I think that would drive me insane. NO YOU CAN'T TOUCH MY BELLY!!! lol, imagine that scene in a crowded store.

from a friend of my late husband Daniel, via email last night:
"Have you considered terminating your pregnancy? I would hate to see your child grow up to be just like you...It's really a shame that Daniel, who was good and actually made worthwhile contributions to the world had to die so useless whores like you could stay alive and take up space."
[totally made me cry!]

Oh my gosh, Kathleen, that's horrible. You had every right to cry. And to call up that jack *** and give him a piece of your mind. Grrr....that makes me wish I knew him so I could really hate his guts instead of just in theory of disliking him for saying that to you.
Hope you have a good rest of the week and that it brings you many smiles. How are you and baby doing?
